Project Engineer / Programmer
CNC Lathe & Mill Operator

CNC Lathe & Mill Operator
Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are an ISO:9001 machine shop. We have 1st shift positions open for seasoned CNC Lathe and Mill operators that have a minimum of 3 years experience in the set-up and operation of a CNC Lathe or Mill for long-term employment opportunities. The CNC Lathe/Mill operator will be working in a fast-paced job-shop environment and is expected to be able to complete assigned tasks on-time and with little supervision.
You need to be able to lead, instruct, and help others. A team player with positive attitude and high personal work ethic is desired. The ideal candidate will be working primarily with aluminum, brass, stainless, alloy and tool steel and must be able to:
- Set-up the machine (load the drill and cutting tools), and operate the machine - usually a mill or a lathe.
- Accurately maintain tight tolerances to one ten thousandth of an inch (.0001")
- To read blueprints
- Load the work piece
- Edit G & M codes and program at the machine.
- Interpret Haas and Fanuc controls
Project Engineer / Programmer
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Our company is seeking a Project Engineer / CNC Programmer to develop new machining processes and techniques that will be implemented on the shop floor. The products are machined from a variety of metals and plastics to very complex geometries with dimensional tolerances to +/-.0001". The ideal candidate will have expertise with developing CNC programs for3 Axis lathe and 4 axis mill centers using MasterCAM. This position is located near Tallahassee, Florida.

Position Requirements:
- Expertise with 4 and 5-axis tool path generation / CNC programming using systems such as MasterCAM and/or SurfCAM
- Proven experience in machining environment working with CNC machinists
- Experience developing tooling and complex machining methodologies in a production environment
- Able to design tooling and machining fixtures
- Capable of selecting the proper machine tools and processes to manufacture a particular part
- Hands-on working style
- Well spoken and comfortable interacting with customers
- Experience with the quoting process
